Masjid Al Barakah

A welcoming place to pray, learn, and belong in Broomfield

Masjid Al Barakah — the Broomfield Islamic Community Center (BICC) — serves nearby families and neighbors with daily prayer, Jumu'ah, Quran learning, family programs, and community outreach. Whether you are stopping by for prayer or seeking a regular masjid home, you will find a warm and respectful welcome here.

Masjid Al Barakah is a community masjid in Broomfield created to be a place of sincere worship, Quranic learning, family support, and neighborly service. Our doors are open to everyone seeking faith, knowledge, and community connection.

Our Story

For many years local families and neighbors dreamed of a permanent masjid close to home. That dream took shape when our community recently purchased the building at 6855 W 119th Ave and began the work of turning it into Masjid Al Barakah. From the first moments after we took ownership, volunteers, families, and helpers prepared the space so spiritual life could begin. When areas of the building were usable, we started holding the five daily prayers and, as soon as the main hall was ready, Jumu'ah gatherings followed. The masjid quickly became a center for prayer, learning, and neighborly support.

Renovation: From Bank to Masjid

The building was originally a bank/credit union — a place once dedicated to transactions and stewardship of material wealth. With care and intention, that same structure has been transformed into a place for spiritual renewal. Local volunteers, donors, and skilled contractors reimagined lobbies and offices into a prayer hall, classrooms, and community spaces. The prayer hall was completed in time for Ramadan 2026, and the community continues to refine and improve the facility while daily life at the masjid flourishes.

Mission

Our mission at Masjid Al Barakah is to provide a welcoming home for worship, Quranic study, family growth, and service to the wider Broomfield community. We seek to combine heartfelt devotion with practical programs that nurture faith, strengthen families, and support neighbors in need.

  • Daily prayer: Five congregational prayers in a warm and respectful atmosphere.
  • Jumu'ah: Weekly Friday prayer and khutbah that address spiritual and community needs.
  • Quran & education: Classes for children, youth, and adults to build strong Quranic and Islamic foundations.
  • Family programs: Activities and workshops that support parents, youth, and intergenerational connection.
  • Community service: Outreach, support for neighbors, and cooperative efforts with local organizations.
